🤝 Trading

TCG Archivist includes a peer-to-peer trading system that lets you browse a friend's collection, propose trades, negotiate, and settle the exchange — with your collection automatically updating when both parties confirm.

🫂 Friends List

The Friends List is your list of trusted friends you can trade with. Both users must be on each other's Friends List before trading is possible.

Adding a Friend

Sending an invite: 1. Open the Friends List screen from the main settings menu 2. Tap the Invite button 3. Share the invite link or code with your friend via any messaging app

Accepting an invite: 1. Receive the invite link from your friend and open it, or 2. Open Friends List → tap Enter Code → type the invite code manually 3. Confirm to add that person to your Friends List

Once the invite is accepted, you appear in each other's Friends List and can start trading.

Removing a Friend

Tap the red person icon (with a minus sign) next to a member in your Friends List to remove them. After removal, their pending trade proposals are no longer accessible.

 Tradable Status

Each card copy in your collection can be marked as Tradable or Not Tradable. This controls which of your cards are visible to friends when they browse your collection to build a trade.

  • Tradable – the copy is flagged as available for trades
  • Not Tradable – the copy is kept out of trades and won't appear to trading partners

Setting Tradable Status

You can set tradable status from several places: - Card detail dialog → Collection tab – tap the trade status option to set individual copies - Collection grid (mass selection) – select multiple cards and use the Set Tradable action to update all selected copies at once

The dialog shows a breakdown of how many copies will be affected and lets you choose TRADABLE or NOT TRADABLE.

💱 Trade Proposals

Creating a New Trade Proposal

  1. Open Trades from the account settings menu
  2. Tap New Trade
  3. Select the friend you want to trade with (must be on your Friends List)
  4. Search that friend's collection for cards you want
  5. Tap Add to Trade on each card you want to include
  6. Tap Propose Trade to submit the offer

The other party receives a notification and can respond.

After Proposing

Once your proposal is sent you can: - Wait for the other party to accept or counter - Edit the trade to adjust your offer while it's still pending

Responding to a Trade Proposal

Open Trades from the account settings menu and tap the incoming proposal to view: - You give – what the other party is asking from you - You get – what you would receive

From the detail screen you can: - Accept – agree to the trade as-is - Counter – edit the card list and send a counter-offer back - Decline – reject the proposal

Each counter replaces the previous offer. Either party can counter as many times as needed.

✅ Completing a Trade

Once a proposal is accepted, both parties must confirm before collections update.

Completion Flow

  1. Open the accepted trade from the Trades inbox
  2. Tap Complete Trade
  3. The Trade Completion screen appears showing each card you agreed to give
  4. For each card, select the exact physical copies from your collection (by finish and storage location) that you are handing over
  5. Enter or select the storage location where you will file the cards you're receiving
  6. Once all cards are accounted for, tap Confirm

Both parties must complete this step. When the second party confirms, the swap executes server-side: - The cards you gave are removed from your collection - The cards you received are added to your collection at the location you specified - Both collections update automatically

Note

You must select the specific entries (individual copies and their respective locations) for each card you're giving. This ensures the right physical copy is transferred and your collection stays accurate.

📥 Inbox

The Inbox collects all trade-related notifications: - Incoming trade proposals - Counter-offers from partners - Completion confirmations

Open the Inbox from the main menu to review and act on pending items. Tap any item to open the relevant screen. You can dismiss notifications individually once they're resolved.

💡 Tips

  • Mark cards Not Tradable to keep specific copies out of trades — useful for cards you own but aren't willing to part with
  • Invite from New Trade: you can send a Friends List invite directly from the New Trade screen without navigating away
  • Storage locations for cards you're giving are shown in the trade detail view, so you know where to physically find each card before completing the trade
